ADA Furniture
The ADA, Americans with Disabilities Act, requires a portion of classroom desks be wheelchair accessible. This means that at least 5% of your classroom desks must be between 28” – 34” above the ground, with 24” of knee clearance for wheelchair-bound students. ADA furniture comes in a variety of styles with a range of options which include adjustment method. Some desks are motorized, some are manually adjusted, and many are available with either flat or slanted desk tops. These desks usually offer a variety of accessories including casters, comfort recess, CPU holders, cable management and moveable keyboard and mouse features.
